Create an environmentally friendly device for your community, school or home that would solve a problem, issue, or support a device to be more efficient.
Directions: Identify an issue in your community, school or home. Then, think out and design a physical solution that could address the issue and resolve the problem.
Problem Description: Include a description of the problem and the impact it has on your community, school or home. This can be written or a video.
Solution Description: Provide a detailed explanation of your solution. Be creative and explain how you will use various technologies, designs, features, etc to combat the problem. This can be written or a video.
Solution Design (3D Design): Design your solution using 3D design software. Include images in your presentation with labels that show the features of your design as detailed in your solution description.
Printed 3D Design: Students should display their final 3D print and are encouraged to be creative in how they display the design (draw/color environment, include toy people, cars, etc) to display how it would be placed within the community.
- Space will be assigned and limited to 3 feet per project.
A project will be disqualified if any of the following occur:
- The narrative description is missing. (see below)
- Copyright information and credits are not included on the narrative or displayed with the project. (see below)
- A planning document is not displayed/available that clarifies the process used to create the project. (see below)
